Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  Matt 22:37-38

A new command I give you:  Love one another.  As I have loved you, you must love one another. By this everyone will know you are my disciple.  John 13:34-35

You are my friend if you do what I command.  John 15:14

The world hates me because I testify that what it does is evil.  John 7:7

Anyone who hates me hates my Father as well.  John 15:23

If the world hates you, keep in mind it hated me first.  If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own.  No servant is greater than their master.  If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.  John 15:18-20

Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of me.  Rejoice in that day and leap for joy because great is your reward in heaven.  Luke 6:22-23

Love your enemies and bless those who curse you.  Do good to those who hate you and pray for those who use and persecute you.  God causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good and he sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.  If you only love those who love you, what reward will you get?  Matt 5:44-46

When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites.  They love to pray standing in public in order to be seen by people.  I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.  But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father who is unseen.  Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.  Matt 6:5-6

When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing so that your giving may be in secret.  Then your Father, who knows what is done in secret, will reward you openly.  Matt 6:3-4

When you make a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind and you will be blessed.  Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.  Luke 14:13-14

Do not store up treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.  But store up treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal.  Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  You cannot serve two masters.  Either you will hate the one and love the other or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and money.
Matt 6:19-21,24

I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven.  It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.  Matt 19:23-24

If you can be trusted with very little, you can also be trusted with much and if you are dishonest with very little, you will also be dishonest with much.  If you have not been trustworthy with worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?  Luke 16:10-11
